Nitrox

Nitrox has become a must in the diving industry and a way of safer diving known and welcomed by most divers.

 
The Jasmin Diving Sports Center has been one of the first using this development and since the late nineties we offer Nitrox courses to our customers.
Nitrox has an increased element of oxygen with the advantage that the amount of nitrogen is reduced.
Diving with regular air you have 21% of oxygen in your tank, with Nitrox we use commonly 32% oxygen (EAN32).
With our partial air filling we can offer every certified diver 100% oxygen.
But what are the advantages of Nitrox?
Because of the reduced nitrogen in the air your body is absorbing less nitrogen during the dive. The danger of a decompression illness is decreased and you have a longer non-decompression limits.
What do you have to consider while diving with Nitrox:
You have to be careful about your depth limit. Nitrox diving has nothing to do with divingdeep. The higher partial pressure can become toxic if you do not follow the depth limits.
Despite many rumours the Nitrox courses are very easy and can be completed very quickly.

You usually need one day for the Nitrox-course. The theory is conducted on board during one of our full-day trips. With your certificate you are allowed to dive with a Nitrox mixture of up to 40% oxygen (EAN40).

For only 20 Euro you can get your personal Jasmin Diving Sports Center Nitrox Card. With this card you can dive with our Nitrox Standardmix “for free” for your lifetime with us.

If you do the Nitrox course in your holidays with us, you will get this card as a present.
